I have been updating the characters as I go. There are a few from the freebie releases that will need updating. I'm going to be editing the play test material to have the current game material included in the characters and adventures. Here is the update of Snowflake. Pretty much every Equipment List I've ever seen has items sorted into Weapons, Armor, Communications, Vehicles, Bases, etc Attachments:

I realized something.
Fleet Feet increases running speed from x2 while running to x3.
I couldn't find the running rules in the Beta PDF.
-------------------
Also, since 1 Talent rank = 1/3 Panel Power Rank, maybe have an option:
Rapid Movement: This ability allows you to move two inches per action point instead of one. At one rank this power has a two-page cool down, and at two ranks this power has a one-page cool down. At three Ranks this talent becomes Alternate Movement: Super Speed.
The only reason I thought of this was I'm thinking of doing up an X-COM scenario using the ruleset (friend of mine has been commenting how much Zombie Ruckus is like X-COM) and Assault Class soldiers have an ability called Run and Gun which would be similar to my proposal for the Rapid Movement Talent.

Hmm.. this has been bandied about from time to time. Run and Gun would be Weapon Fu. Agent level characters would have access to Powers. I called them Knacks for agents. WEAPON FU Weapon Fu turns an attack into a graceful maneuver, whether it is a ranged or hand to hand. In game terms it means a character may use action points for movement and attack without penalty. Weapon Fu characters ignore the -1 modifier for activating with a 1. Every Power Rank over 1 adds a +3 to hit due to the increasingly unusual and graceful nature of the attack. I'll take a look through to see if I added in the running rules. They should be there. D.

Well, Run and Gun in X-COM allows Assault Class soldiers to make a double move and still attack. It has a 2 round cooldown (making it available 1/3 the time).
So basically it behaves like 1/3 of Alternate Movement: Super Speed.
I'd call that worth a talent rank. *shrug*

I've tweaked the zombies as well and they will appear in the Save the Day book in the bestiary section. They will make a bit more sense I hope. They have play tested well.

Follow up: sorry, I didn't know what x-com was. I had to google it.

As long as you call it Rapid Movement and not Run & Gun, cuz I think Firaxis might get a little peeved if you did. I really need to sit down and put together a list of X-Com abilities I wish to try translating into StD

Hmm.. I am working on a spy game "Spot of Bother" next that would really need these kind of Talents. Very cool. It'd all be compatible with Save the Day as well. Maybe we should have a sub forum for this?

Hi, not to distract you from the last push on the STD rules but have you considered a "Contraption" world book for STD? I think that would be a grand supplement, especially as you've already got some of the minis on the market.

I have a Contraption book in the works for Swords & Wizardry White Box, but I'm considering a Save the Day option or a whole newfangled Steampunk expansion. Edit: There is a Steampunk Expansion coming out for Darkfast Dungeons.. I don't see why it can't come out for Save the Day as well (same basic game system).

Please don't encourage him to spend his time on creating rules systems, for it keeps him from working on why I check this forum out in the first place. This rules obsession he has developed is unfortunate.
