Yes. Work continues on this set. It will be a rather involved project with lots of swappable parts. Kind of like a virtual plastic sorus that you can mix and match

That sounds awesome! I've just started running a Savage Worlds fantasy RPG, and I'm using card stock miniatures. These sound like just what I'm after!

Yes. Work continues on this set. It will be a rather involved project with lots of swappable parts. Kind of like a virtual plastic sorus that you can mix and match I think you will use many layers ... There are some differences between the wargaming miniatures and RPG miniatures. A RPG-player needs the same character, on few different poses when it is possible but it isn't a necessary feature, with different armors, weapons ... So "... the same figure cast in different poses and with different clothes, haircut, armor and gear to show the growth from a humble adventurer to a prosperous and successful hero. ..." ( from www.dndlead.com/Citadel/Citadel.htm ) Citadel "Paladin with Longsword" ( 1985 circa) Ral Partha 3-Stage Player Characters "Barbarian Fighter" (1986 ) Fenryll "3-stages Female Thief" ( 2000 circa ) I do not know if you can draw something like this kind ... but I hope.

I have decided to create a work journal for this set. So far I have two figures to scan and sort out details. I think as this is a very complicated set for me to produce that I will be recording a behind the scenes journal for lots of reasons but mainly so that I can document the process required to work out these issues.
To start, I am going to list the figures required for this set. Each figure will have three heads, three torsos, three leg sets and two weapon options. I will also have an "extras" layer of some kind for further customizing.
1. Northlander Barbarian (Male) 2. Amazon (Female) 3. Cairn Lord Warrior (Male) 4. Jademan Monk (Male) 5. Valk Archer (Male) 6. Imperial Mercenary (Male) 7. Ivory Tribesman (Male) 8. Lotus Master Alchemist (Male) 9. Bandit (Male) 10. Thief (Female) 11. Gladiator (Male) 12. Tricarnian Noble (Male)
So far the art for the Barbarian and Amazon is drawn. I will scan it today and draw three more figure sets, most likely in the order on this list.
Exciting.

That reminds me of those dress-able card figures you sometimes still see knocking about. You get a basic figure where you can attach clothes with fold-over tabs. I was thinking of doing something similar for wargaming figures - print up a load of figures in the same pose. Then on another sheet of paper, print up armour parts, tabards and so on. Then glue them onto the figures. For shields, I thought to stick the print-out to thicker card, so you get a sort-of raised effect. My arty-skills aren't too good, and in the words of my little 'un - "It takes too long!"

Well, the endless layer pdf just doesn't seem feasible. That said, I'm putting my nose to the grindstone to produce a phenomenal number of options for this set. It will be a big one.
