New user to the forum here. I'm a wargamer as well as RPG gamer. I just bought several Okumarts Darkfast Dungeons fantasy cardstock mini files form DriveThruRPG and pretty excited about them. The big advantage I see with cardstock is that if the artwork is attractive enough (as the Darkfast Dungeons line definitely is), that it will look as good/better than most metal miniatures (especially unpainted or poorly painted ones) while being infinitely more portable and less shelf-space dependent. It's great to hear from you JB! Thanks for those kind words. Yeah, I really got excited when I built all my wood elf minis and put them on the table. Suddenly, I had an awesome looking army of wood elves and I could make as many as I wanted. Storage is also an important part of the decision to make paper minis for my games.

New to the forum (Thanks for the approval :-)
Been a gamer of some kind for years but just recently have made the choice to begin shifting away from the tons of painted miniatures and move to a more compact method. I was going to follow a friend to tokens but David Okum's Bundle of Holding came up and I was hooked. I love his style as well as the figures standing up rather then the flat tokens. I picked up the max Bundle as well as several sets from the DriveThru store.
I am looking forward to learning more from this forum. :-)

I looked up "retro games forums" just for the hell of it and went to the 10th page and I found this place, so I'm obviously completely new here. Is this joint still hip? Oh and pardon my casualness too but I'm not to big on RPG/Wargames. I used to play a ton of RPG games in high school with the board game club but I've stopped after all that. I used to play games like Axis and Allies and Samurai Politics and War and all that with the boys.
Anyway I hope to enjoy my time here if this place is still active.
-Sincerely, Lee Ghandi

Found the retro space sets on Drive through yesterday. I like the look and bought the ones that they had marked at $2.50. I will be printing them soon. Have to find the card stock my new printer likes. I have played RPG's when I was a teen and now that I am retired, I have been looking into them again. Yes I played D&D before the was a internet. I like Sci Fi, but all my friends did not. We did play some Paranoia back then but I could never get them to try Traveller. I have David's space station in the cart and will pull the trigger soon. (Looking at all the other sets) Posting as a guest while waiting for my approval. Is there a game to go with the Retro space sets? Looking for something easy to get my wife to try RPG. Thanks Mel
