This line will cover historical Dark Ages figures that could also cross over into the Fantasy genre. First up will be the Vikings set.

Yesterday I finished the fronts of all the Vikings AND a special Viking sub-set I'm kind of excited about. Today I'm going to try to finish the backs of all the Vikings and try to scan in the artwork before bed.

Some more playtesting and playing with the old Seaworks: Skull Cove from World Works Games (sadly retired).

I realise that you have to impose limits here or run the risk of being buried in an avalanche of suggestions but, would Beowulf and the Grendel, or Boudicca of the Iceni, be a little too ancient to be considered for this line?

I think a Grendel set would be awesome. I am toying with some Roman/Celt sets as well. I guess I'm think "historical" as opposed to a set era. Just starting the shading on the Viking set. Soon... very soon....

Loving the Dark Ages line, what other figures do have in the pipeline?

I think the next set will be a Late Pictish line. They will double for the Picts in Northern Ireland as well as those in Scotland. I have an Irish Fianna line almost ready to go. I also want to put out an armoured and bowed line of Vikings. Hmm... Then I'm looking at a set of Saxons.

I don't understand wery well what is "Irish Fianna" line ... but if it is mythological line complementary to "Dark Age of Adventure" can't miss fomorians, Tuatha Dé Danann ... Sidhe ( ) I remember very old miniatures from "alternative armies" ( today this line is called "Erin" ) and I-Kore minaitures ( "Celtos" ) Ciao PS: Don't forget arthurians/ late romans.

I believe the Dark age of Adventure is a more Historical line than fantasy/mythology, however I might be wrong Irish Fianna: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FiannaI too would like to see some Roman flavour minis.

OK, thanks. But " ... they appear in Irish mythology and Scottish mythology, most notably in the stories of the Fenian Cycle ..." ( from your link ). So I made a mistake. Sorry.

I was only reading between the lines on this thread and what has been posted elsewhere, and might be completely wrong, so please don't take offence if I appeared to be coming across too strong
