I'm going to put a few things here to help track some development of Darkfast Dungeons. So far the game will be a LOT bigger than Katana Schoolgirls vs Zombie Furries. The focus will be on the mini game, but there will be rules for campaigns, experience and using the game with 3d tiles. Most of my playtesting over the past two years has been done with 3d tiles. The game will have the following components: 12 hero figures (6 classes with male and female versions as well as colour variations) 6 Hero Cards (for each class) 24+ Monster figures 24+ Monster cards Talent Cards Spell Cards Wildcard Deck Dark Secrets 12 unique Dungeon Tiles (to be printed twice) 4 Special Room Tiles Event Deck Gear Deck Weapons Deck Treasure Deck Condition Markers Rulebook Campaign Rules Character Sheet (For Campaign Play) That's a lot of work, but luckily the basics are all done and stuff just needs editing and layout. Magic is a bit of a sticking point at this moment, but I have been organizing the other rules and leaving a magic spaced hole in the rulebook to work around. I think I have some of the issues sorted out, but I want to playtest a few ideas first.

Instead of one deck of spellcards, you could make several, yet smaller decks for different types of magic. How about a deck for nature spells (to be used by elves, druids, goblin/orc shamans and such), one for elemental spells (for wizards), one deck of dark magic (for warlocks, demons and such) and one deck of wonders (for priests, paladins, etc.)? Since I don't know which classes you might wanna include, I gave several options for each deck. How magic could work: each magic user gets to draw 3 cards from his/her specific deck; he/she may not have more than 3 spells at any given time; once all 3 spells have been cast, the magic user may draw 3 new spells from his/her specific deck... 20 spells per deck should be enough for games up to several hours and some spells could be included more than once (healing spell, attack spells like fireball or lightning bolt). Used up decks could simply be reshuffled... Just a few simple ideas, I hope they spark some more ideas in you.

Rules are in their close to final form. I just need to send it to my editors and then I can tweak what I need and work on layout.
